Czech Drivers’ Glare Perception Survey

Worldwide, road-users complain about glare from oncoming cars’ headlights, often blaming new light sources such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs). However, drivers’ own behavior and attitudes might contribute to the issue of glare. The aim this research was establish prevalence on-road its associations with in a sample Czech drivers. We used an online survey gained responses 539 passenger-car-drivers. majority experienced at least once week or almost daily, identifying mainly white- bluish-colored headlights source 60% participants would prefer view road that is provided by these sources, association found between preferred part lighting color spectrum perceived color. A large proportion drivers were also not aware specifics they used. These findings suggest need for driver education area automotive prevention.
